PRIVACY: WEBSITE COMMENTS ARE PUBLICLY DISCLOSED
SOUL OF AMERICA receives website comments related to our articles, photo tours and independent observations by our visitors. By definition, such comments are publicly disclosed for anyone to read, but not change.
SOUL OF AMERICA reserves the right to remove profane comments or comments that insult our visitors or comments that we perceive as defamatory.
PRIVACY: INDIVIDUAL EMAIL & SURVEY DATA IS CONFIDENTIAL
From time to time, SOUL OF AMERICA receives individual email addresses and other information from visitors that is not related to a sponsor promotion. We consider it to be confidential and therefore, private. In our history as a company, we have never shared this private information with sponsors or third parties.
We do however, aggregate data from visitor surveys and email comments that characterize our visitor demographics. For example, we inform advertisers that 89-90% of our visitors attend or graduated from college. That is normal business practice used by commercial websites to inform advertisers of our value. Such aggregate data preserves your privacy and enables SOUL OF AMERICA to provide free information to our visitors.
PRIVACY: PROMOTION REGISTRATION DATA ONLY SHARED WITH THE SPONSOR
When we collect data volunteered by a visitor to register for promotions (win-a-trip sweepstakes, prizes, etc.), it is explicitly declared that such registration data will be shared with the sponsor for that promotion.
Promotion registrants may receive telephone or email contact from SOUL OF AMERICA and/or the promotion sponsor for normal follow-up purposes.
For your privacy, SOUL OF AMERICA never sells or shares promotion registration data with third parties, unrelated sponsors or co-mingles other visitor lists. We take additional security measures to protect all registration data.
