Brendas French Soul-Food is a Filipino-Creole restaurant owned and decorated by chef Brenda Buenviaje. If you are Downtown and need a fresh beignet or egg plant fix, this is your spot. The prices are right and the food is delicious. The Shrimp & Grits and Catfish Po Boy might just steal the show. Given the crowds, wait times are a bit long though. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday. Whenever you drop in, leave room for dessert.
