Arizona Science Center
DESCRIPTION: Another architecturally distinct venue that gives downtown a remarkable family attraction. The center is filled with interactive exhibits that teach, entertain and most of all, give parents a break – if know what I mean. It includes an Iwerks theater, a 203-seat planetarium.

Pioneer Arizona Living History Museum
DESCRIPTION: You’ve seen it on Western movies, now experience the real thing. See a real Arizona town as it appeared in the 1800s in the Wild Wild West in the largest living history museum west of the Rocky Mountains; covers over 90 acres of history from the 1800s. The Buffalo Soldiers exhibition during the fall season is a must see. Other sites include an Opera House, Saloon, Church, Bank, Blacksmith, Teacherage, Carpenter Shop and special event yard.

Chase Field
DESCRIPTION: Originally called Bank One Ballpark or the “BOB” and renamed to Chase Field in 2005, this architecturally dramatic structure is home to Major League Baseball’s Arizona Diamondbacks. The venue seats 48,500 and has a grass surface under its retractable dome.

Talking Stick Resort Arena
DESCRIPTION: You are immediately struck by soaring glass walls, a 12×20 foot video screen and Pavilion grand entrance. Give props to management for keeping this 1992 arena state-of-the-art for fan value. It hosts the NBA Phoenix Suns, WNBA Phoenix Mercury, NHL Phoenix Coyotes, Arena Football’s Arizona Rattlers, as well as a ton of concerts and other events throughout the year. It seats 19,000.

State Farm Stadium
DESCRIPTION: Opened in 2006 as University of Phoenix Stadium, the venue rolls the grass inside the dome just before games, then rolls it back out for overnight watering and sunlight. The dome roof is retractable to take advantage of fair weather days. It seats 64,000 for Arizona Cardinals NFL football games and expands to 73,000 to host college bowl games and the SuperBowl.
