Uptown at Minton’s Review
This legendary jazz nightclub, once owned by Wilt Chamberlain among others, helped established Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk as international jazz luminaries. Due to aging demographics for Jazz coupled with die-hard Jazz fans, Minton’s has closed and reopened many times. Only time will tell if there’s a 9th or 10th act coming.
