Memphis Restaurants
Memphis Restaurants don’t get as much publicity as New Orleans and that’s a shame. The city offers hungry travelers a gold-plated list of soulful dining options. As the gateway metro area connecting Tennessee to both Arkansas and Mississippi, Memphis borrows from all three states to forge its reputation as one of the best destinations for Soul Food and Barbecue. As you’ll soon discover, family restaurants deserve the credit for making Memphis barbecue award-winning and famous. Though lesser known nationally, Soul Foodies have also reached nirvana in the city where Dr. King and other Civil Rights leaders broke bread with collard greens on the side. All though we lost Isaac Hayes Soul Food Kitchen and others, you can write your own culinary history at Memphis restaurants.
