Southern Girl is a dessert bakery that your mother would love and your father would beg a return to. If you are from the South, you will instantly recognize some of the ingredients they use. The owners draw from heirloom recipes handed down over generations and accent old favorites with delicious experiments in cupcake flavor. Everything is baked fresh and the menu has a plethora of options. The sweet potato pie, red velvet cupcakes and banana pudding are immaculate. You can be certain that they are some of the best you will ever taste! Located in Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, the bakery maintains lengthy hours while the mall is open and benefits from special event foot traffic. Fortunately, the owners’ leased a large enough space for seating area and tastefully decorate the walls with family photos. One cozy seating area features a nook that’s perfect for small business meetings and get togethers. Lemonade and attentive service completes the vibe in this highly recommended eatery, day or night.
