ErmaRose Winery
DESCRIPTION: ErmaRose is an award-winning family-owned winery in Katy, Texas. Jennifer Prothow, a proud veteran, had a vision to craft her unique wine recipes and start her own winery in 2014. Jennifer and her mother, Andrea, are the winery’s owners. The winery is named after Erma Jewel Hobley and Rosa Jones Prothow, who are Jennifer’s grandmothers. The first batch of ErmaRose wine was bottled in 2016. The winery’s production facility was acquired in 2018 and opened in 2019. The winery focuses on making wines from a variety of fresh frozen fruit, free of concentrates and low in sulfites. The current signature flavors are Banana, Peach, Mango, Blueberry, Blackberry, and Cranberry. To date, ErmaRose Winery has sold nearly 1,000 cases of wine.

The Greasy Spoon
DESCRIPTION: Bistro that puts an upscale spin on many Soul Food favorites. Max Boseman II had a vision to “Elevate the Culture of Southern Cuisine” by curating a five-star experience that accompanies traditional southern comfort dishes. Try the Smothered Chop Steak or the Cajun Seafood Spaghetti; there are many cook-to-order specialties as well.
