Hampton is a short drive from Norfolk International Airport, which serves the Hampton Roads region in Southeast Virginia. Norfolk International Airport (ORF) is a midsize airport featuring 22 daily non-stop flights to destinations that include Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, New York and Miami.
Car Rentals: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Dollar, Hertz, National, and Thrifty serve ORF Airport. Groome Shuttle is located outside of baggage claim (757-857-1231) with service to Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk Hampton, Newport News, and area military bases. Taxi service includes Black & White (757-489-7777), Checker (757-855-3333), and Yellow (757-622-3232). Shuttles depart from ORF airport every 10 minutes to Norfolk and Virginia Beach and every 30 minutes to Hampton and Newport News.
Amtrak is hosted by a small station at 9304 Warwick Blvd in Newport News. By presenting your ticket, an Amtrak motorcoach driver will transport you to Norfolk or Virginia Beach.

Hampton and Newport News Freeways are well maintained, but signage is lacking in some areas. I-64 Freeway is often crowded with traffic coming from all points on the East Coast en route to Virginia Beach. Allow extra time traversing this freeway during warm months.
