Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) is a regional airport served by American, Delta and United airlines. Most of its flights are to/from Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington, Dallas or Chicago. Car Rentals: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, and Thrifty provide service. Ard’s Shuttle (803-791-5767) and Earth Shuttle (803-714-0080). Taxis cost about $25 for the 6-mile journey to downtown. Shuttleways (803-783-0265) provides shuttle service.

Columbia Freeway System: Located at the intersection of Interstate 77, 26 and 20 freeways and situated 75 miles from I-95, this city is well connected in the Southeast. Beware of roadway widening delays on stretches of this growing metro area.
