Atlantic City Historical Museum and Atlantic City Art Center
DESCRIPTION: Features a Stompin’ at the Shore photo exhibit that chronicles African-American life in this resort town, from the Cakewalk contests held nightly on Million Dollar Pier to the Club Harlem, which showcased Cab Calloway, Pearl Bailey, Sammy Davis, Jr. Images focus on African Americans at leisure from 1885 to 1980; the exhibit includes photographs from Harlem photographer James Van Der Zee and Philadelphia’s John O. Mosley, as well as family albums of local contributors.
