U.S. Cities Black Travel Guides
U.S. Cities Black Travel Guides by Soul Of America are curated from an African-American perspective. In the sweep of American history, Only First Nation Tribes lay more claim to the soul of this country. Blacks came with Spanish explorers and some settled as freemen in Florida since 1565. In 1609, they were brought as slaves to Virginia. In 1619, they arrived in New York. And in 1623 they arrived in Massachusetts. We have fought heroically in the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War and served as Buffalo Soldiers afterwards. African-Americans also served in the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and Middle East Wars. During and after World War II, a number of Africans relocated to Hawaii as well. Over time, we found more safety and achievement in U.S. Cities. We have overcome many racial hurdles to invent great products and to build businesses, places of worship, cultural sites and institutions. We invite you to explore their treasures with our U.S. Cities Black Travel Guides.

Beautiful Pictures of The Mural at Dexter Ave. Baptist Church In Montgomery Alabama. I had the privilege of befriending The Artist when I Visited back in 2019. I am in the process of connecting him with the Artist who did a Similar Mural in the Bottom Of The Church in Clinton TN that literally gave life to the Story Of the Clinton 12. The Turmoil and Racists events surrounding the Story of the 12 Black Students Court Ordered to Attend Clinton’s all White Highschool was the Citie’s best Kept Secret until Min/Artist Alan Jones Started interviewing members of his Congregation and Community. From their a Mural was created and A Committee to Commemorate the Historic Event. If you have time please research The Clinton 12. You may also Come over to My City In Knoxville to learn more About the Birth place of Artist Bufford Delaney, Nikki Giovanni, and Stumping Grounds of Alex Haley where a Giant Statue of Him resides feets away from our Black Culture Center in the Center of The Area where Urban Removal occured. Lots of History in Clinton and Knoxville that should be explored. By the Way the Artist of the Clinton Mural Resides in Knoxville.
