Argyle International Airport (AIA) is a newly constructed international airport in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, located about 5 miles from Kingstown, St. Vincent. It is the second solar-powered airport in the Caribbean. Daily flights at AIA include American, Air Canada Rouge, Caribbean Airlines, Air Sunwing, LIAT, SVG Air and Mustique. Flights leave frequently from Atlanta, Newark, NYC, Toronto, The Main Terminal is modernized with the usual amenities of a small Caribbean International airport including:

– Bookstores & gift shops
– Immigration
– Currency Exchange (Mon-Fri 8:30am – 1pm, 2pm – 5:30pm)
– Car Rentals
– Lost & Found

Ground Transport

Taxi services at the airport offer impeccably clean, properly maintained and insured vehicles. You also have the option of booking a taxi well ahead of time.

Water taxis are available for Kingstown cruise port.

Minibuses are available island-wide. There is no scheduled timetable. Minibuses at filled with passengers are frequent between the main towns of Castries to Gros Islet.

To prevent issues on the local buses, convert from U.S. dollars to local monies (EC) otherwise, some drivers will over-charge you. Also, double check the route with each driver before boarding.

Car Rentals require a temporary drivers permit and a valid driver’s license from your home country. You can usually get your driving permit at the car rental office.
