Chicago Restaurants

Chicago Restaurants include some of the nation’s best Steakhouses and Barbecue joints. Given Chicago’s tradition for meat-packing, that should not come as a surprise. What’s remarkable is that the city also has a nice selection Soul Food, Creole, Seafood and Cajun eateries. Books have been written about them. They include a welcome selection of comedy clubs and coffeehouses as well. Since the Great Recession however, many long time favorites on the Southside and Westside have closed. But fear not. This is Chicago. New and reimagined restaurants, cafes, bistros, coffeehouses and nightclubs will take their place.
