Texas Avenue Historical and Multicultural Tour
Back in the day it was called “The Avenue,” and anything and everything happened along it.  Spanning two 2 days and one night, this self-guided tour takes you to numerous historical and significant stops along Texas Avenue.  Stops include to the famous
blues singer Huddie Ledbetter statue and the Elvis Presley statue; 800 to 1000 Block, the business center and social center for Blacks in Shreveport and the surrounding area, historic churches, the Texas Street Bridge, Municipal Auditorium, Stephens African American Museum and much more; Texas Street is Highway 80 and extends all way to Grand Prairie, Texas
