Seattle’s original settlement was named Duwamps, but changed to Seattle in honor of Chief Sealth.

Based on how clean and new most of the city looks, you would never guess that it was founded in 1851.

A compact 84 square miles, Seattle is an isthmus having along vast Puget Sound on the west and Lake Washington on the east.

More than 3.8 million people call Seattle-Tacoma Metro Area home.

Given all the greenery, Seattle is fondly nicknamed "The Emerald City"

Seattle was home and the is the final resting place of Bruce Lee

Seattle is located 113 miles south of the US-Canada border

Washington State Ferry System is the largest ferry system in the U.S. and the third largest in the world, carrying over 25 million passengers each year

Microsoft, Amazon.com, Starbucks and Nordstrom call the Seattle area home. Though Boeing moved its headquarters to Chicago, Boeing engineering and manufacturing jobs remain.
