AIR


Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is a regional airport with mostly Southeast air connections. Car Rentals: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise and U-Save. Taxis: Magnolia (912-667-4559) and Yellow Cab (912-236-1133) are your best late night option to or from the airport.

 

TRAINS


Amtrak trains arrive daily from the eastern seaboard at North Charleston train station is located at 2611 Seaboard Coast Line Drive. The station features full ADA Accessibility.

TRANSIT


Chatham Area Transit provides bus service in this small metro area. From Thursday-Sunday, vintage streetcars operate on River Street to benefit tourists.

 


Savannah Freeway System: All freeways and highways are typically easy to get around during commute hours in this small city. OBEY posted speed limits, which vary from 65 mph downwards. Freeways and major highways are:

  16  Interstate freeway connects Savannah with Georgia and I-95 freeway
  21  State freeway and highway connects Savannah to its airport
        Harry S. Truman Parkway runs along the eastside of Savannah
  80  US highway - islands expressway to Tybee National Wildlife Refuge
  95  Interstate freeway connects Savannah to the eastern seaboard
204  State highway southern connecting Savannah to I-95 freeway
516  Interstate freeway Southwest Bypass connects to 21 Highway
