PHOENIX TRANSPORTATION
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is the 9th busiest passenger airport in America, with plenty of flights to all points across North America. Hotel shuttles and Taxis are plentiful and cheap from PHX Airport to downtown, only a few miles to the north. Car Rentals: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, and National serve PHX, which is just minutes east of downtown.
TRAIN
Amtrak station at 401 South 4th Avenue in Phoenix hosts one daily, scenic route through the desert:

TRANSIT
Valley Metro Light Rail began a 20-mile route in 2009 that connects the airport people mover system, major attractions downtown, northwest Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. More extensions are coming in the years ahead, including to the airport. A free DASH bus circulates around downtown Phoenix every 6 to 10 minutes.
