Greek Theatre
DESCRIPTION: Built in 1929, fully restored and nestled at an entrance to Griffith Park, this award-winning 5,800-seat amphitheatre hosts many of the biggest names in Soul, Pop, Classical, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Country and Rock music; War, Tower of Power, Alicia Keys, Tina Turner, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen and Santana are just a handful of big name performing artists who have graced the stage;

the sound system is tuned nicely for state-of-the-art acoustics in its surrounding wooded hills, good stage lighting and excellent site lines from every seat make this a must-see concert venue and one that often has patrons dancing in the aisles; wheelchair accessible seating is available in Section A, as well as in the North Terrace Section -- request a wheelchair location and a companion seat at time of purchase; assistive listening devices available for no charge from receptionist in administrative office at entrance -- photo ID required; since only Vermont Street leads to the theatre, allow extra patience departing after shows; this Nederlander concert venue has also appeared in several TV shows and movies, most notably Get Him To The Greek

Dorothy Chandler Pavilion
DESCRIPTION: Opened 1964, the acclaimed venue is home for the Los Angeles Opera and Music Center Dance; seating 3,197, this venue is one of the 3 largest performing arts centers in the nation and one of the two anchors of the Music Center of Los Angeles County

Shrine Auditorium
DESCRIPTION: Built in 1926 as America's largest theater with 6,300 seats, the Arabian-influenced design is an engineering marvel that features the largest proscenium stage in North America; the cantilevered balcony built without pillars seats more patrons than the floor can seat without an obstructed viewing from any seat; in the 1990s, a $15 million renovation upgraded seats, stage, lighting and sound system; today ot hosts the People's Choice Awards, NAACP Image Awards, BET Awards and numerous concerts; Michael Jackson catapulted to mega-stardom with his Billie Jean performance here in 1983

Pantages Theatre
DESCRIPTION: Built in 1930 as a Fox movie theatre, it hosted star-studded movie premieres for many years and remains eye candy today; Howard Hughes bought it in 1949 and in the 1950s, it hosted the Academy Awards shows; the Emmy Awards were held here until 1977; a superb renovation brought new vigor to its Art Deco lobby and rendered an auditorium ceiling lined with distinctively ornate gold leaf hovering over 2,691 comfortable seats that render a jaw-dropping view; since re-opening as a Broadway musicals
theater in 1977, it has hosted Bubbling Brown Sugar, Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, The King & I, Peter Pan, Les Miserables and top concerts acts such as Patti LaBelle; its catchy art deco interior also appears in The Bodyguard movie and MIchael Jackson's You Are Not Alone video
