MAGIC SHOW REVIEWS
Hands down, the best magician in Las Vegas. The master magician Lance Burton holds you spellbound in his custom-built theatre. Lance’s skill, imagination, execution and timing elevate his game to the top of his craft in Las Vegas. His rare combination of charisma, raw talent, and showmanship produces jaw-dropping illusions and a cheering audience every time.
His repertoire of illusions includes levitation, slight-of-hand, trained animals, and flying prop magic. Just when you think his sleight-of-hand or prop magic are routine, Lance pulls a stunner that you can’t figure out for love or money. Many of the wireless levitations and transformed bodies seem to border on the impossible.
Supremely confident in his skills, Lance invites audience participation. On one occasion he took a novice 5 year-old kid on a remarkable disappearing act. Lance’s showmanship and charisma are as important as his acts, since they make you like the guy who guides you Pied-Piper-like from one great illusion to the next. You’d like to have him as your buddy at the next party. The show is augmented by a multicultural group of attractive dancers who misdirect your attention, while the elaborate illusions are being staged. A testament to his skill is that a highly perceptive person can figure out how he pulled off one sleight-of-hand and one transformed body illusion. But for every other magician, the same person could fugure out five or six illusions.
The juggler-comedian was also a nice treat between magic acts. Later Lance generously incorporates the likeable juggler-comedian into the magic show. If you need proof that this master magician is at the height of his powers, look closely when he makes a performer walk towards you and disappear before your eyes. Mind-boggling!
The Lance Burton theatre has comfortable seating, good sight lines, is well ventilated and well equipped for sizable props. Lance makes good use, but not overuse, of technology to ensure that his show gracefully exceeds expectations.
Dirk Arthur carefully balances his wonderful magic show with Xtreme illusions, comedy, audience participation and most of all surprises! When gargantuan white tigers and a panther appear, you think the show is a tribute to Las Vegas legends, Siegfried & Roy. But when award-winning magician Dirk Arthur returns to his unique range of illusions and sleight of hand, some of it is so uncanny it defies belief.
Breathtaking, fast-paced magic sequences glue you to your seat, then are interwoven with a short dance routine, charming assistants, and a short Hip-Hop routine. The signature magic trick performed by Dirk is the largest illusion performed in Las Vegas! When the 26-foot long helicopter flies in with chopper blades whirring, you’ll be sold that this is one of the greatest illusionists today.
Family Tip. This great show at the Tropicana is fun for all ages and value priced matinee tickets are available
