DRIVING

Jacksonville Freeway & Bridge Network: Jacksonville is one of the oldest cities in Florida. It is growing, but not explosively like Orlando. As a result Jacksonville has time to extend freeway system without as many dramatic traffic jams experienced in Orlando, which can’t build roadways fast enough. Jacksonville also has a downtown focus of activity, it has a beltway making it easy and to cross-navigate. Freeways names are:

1  US Route from north of Downtown going east
6A  State Freeway connecting to both ends of I-295
10  Interstate Freeway Jacksonville to Los Angeles
90  US Route, Downtown to the eastern metro area
95  Interstate freeway connecting the East Coast
