AIR


Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) is a regional airport with flights to various cities in the Southeast. Car Rentals: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, and Thrifty provide service. Ard's Shuttle (803-791-5767) and Earth Shuttle (803-714-0080). Taxis cost $15-$17 for the 6-mile journey to downtown. Shuttleways (803-783-0265) provides shuttle service.

 

TRAINS


Amtrak train station for Columbia is at 850 Pulaski Street. Columbia is served by one daily Amtrak route:

 

Silver Star: NYC-Philadelphia-Washington-Richmond-Raleigh-Columbia-Savannah-Jacksonville-Orlando-Miami.

TRANSIT

Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA) bus service fans outward from downtown to all major sites in the region.


Columbia Freeway System: Located at the intersection of Interstate 77, 26 and 20 freeways and situated 75 miles from I-95, this city is well connected in the Southeast. Beware of construction widening delays on various stretches of this growing metro area.
