Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise
DESCRIPTION: Experience the only Official Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise aboard Chicago's First Lady Cruises departing daily on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. 90-minute tours of Chicago's riverfront architecture with commentary provided by CAF-certified volunteer guides provide insight into Chicago's built environment. CTA Tours
For tours of the Northside, Westside and Southside of Chicago on a budget, catch one of several CTA buses in front of the Art Institute on South Michigan Ave. On Saturdays from May through September, tours are given aboard CTA trains as they circle the Loop on the L train. Chicago Architecture Foundation tour guides point out buildings of historic architectural interest, the 'L' and its role in the development of the Central Business District. Free tickets for the tours must be picked up in advance from the Chicago Office of Tourism Visitor Information Center on the first floor of the Chicago Cultural Center, at 77 East Randolph Street.
