Civil Rights Heritage Educational Tour

Evelyn G. Lowery hosts the two-day Civil Rights Heritage Educational Tour. The tour originates from the SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. headquarters in Atlanta and retraces the steps of the Civil Rights Movement throughout Alabama.

Atlanta Preservation Tour of Auburn Avenue
Tour gathers at the front of APEX Museum where you meet your tour guide. The architectural history tour extends from African American Research Library, then moves eastward with stops at the churches, historic sites and cultural sites along Sweet Auburn Avenue to The King Center and ends at the King Birth Home. The no reservation required tour occurs every Saturday 10a-11:30a; costs $10 adults, $5 students and kids. You can arrange a group tour with a minimum of 15 attendees and 2 weeks advance request
