Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in Woodruff Arts Center

DESCRIPTION: Symphony Hall seats 1,831; the orchestra’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration concerts have grown to include symposiums, and other related events; a participant in the National Black Arts Festival since its beginning, ASO sponsors a competition for new compositions by African-American composers; plans were unveiled for a stunning new Symphony Hall to be part of the expanding arts center early next decade

Delta Classic Chastain Park Amphitheatre
DESCRIPTION: Tucked away in one of Atlanta’s leafiest suburbs and surrounded by trees, Chastain’s seductive charms include candlelight intimacy; in 2004, a $2.3 million renovation enhanced the park’s amenities; it is the outdoor home of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and many Jazz, R&B and Hip-Hop concerts; don’t miss a chance to attend a concert here
